India; where > 50% of the population depend on agriculture, allied agriculture of other Agri-supported India. Thanks to the green revolution and the sustained research and development efforts of public and private organizations, due to which, we have made tremendous progress in agriculture. It’s fair to say that India has achieved self- sufficiency in food production.
But the effort of attaining self-sufficiency in Indian agriculture has come with a cost that is associated with rampant use of agrochemicals – India ranks among the top 10-15 producers and users of agrochemicals globally. Agrochemicals which comprise of fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, chemical fertilizers and growth regulatory and their negative effects on health, ecology and food safety is well known.
We at AREKAL, have identified biological, organic and less-toxic chemical based agri-inputs that can replace or reduce the frequency and volumes of toxic agrochemicals currently applied and the fields while still maintain meaning yield gains.

AREKAL – the background:
Arekal Organics and Bio-Fertilizers PVT LTD, started as an small to medium enterprise (SME) at the Incubation centre of Indian Institute of Horticulture Research (ICAR-IIHR), Hesaraghatta, Bangalore, India from 2020- 2023. We successfully incubated the Arka Microbial Consortia (AMC), Arka Waste Decomposer, Arka Speciality Products like Arka Vegetable Special and other essential technologies at IIHR and gained commercial success along with a wealth of farming knowledge. Today we encompass a wide network of farmers across India, who have adopted Organic and Biological products successfully and continue to be our esteemed customers.
Arekal Organics and Bio-Fertilizers PVT LTD is now expanding with more products, carefully blending chemical and biologicals as part of our product portfolio. With the new expansion, we aim to deliver toxic-free agriculture inputs without compromising the yield and other crop benefits.
